Practice Areas
Complex Litigation
In addition to our terrorism financing, restitution, and international practice areas, Osen LLC also litigates a variety of complex commercial matters, many of which turn on multifaceted international legal and political issues. Examples of some of our current matters include:
- A putative class action brought under the civil provisions of the RICO statute on behalf of Iraqi Kurdish citizens against three large corporations concerning economic injuries sustained by the plaintiffs as a result of a “kickback scheme” in connection with the United Nations’ Oil-For-Food Program.
- A putative class action brought on behalf of consumers who purchased premium cable services from Time Warner in New Jersey who were required to pay a rental fee for a "cable box" in order to view cable television, alleged to be an unlawful tying arrangement, in violation of federal antitrust and state consumer protection law.
